Fresh cut though, not frozen.

Frozen are okay, but nothing beats a good fresh one!

You cut fresh slivers, then I usually will marinate them and then add spices and cook them in a home fryer that is the best way to do it it's simple if you know what you're doing. And fresh are always better than Frozen but it is time consuming to make fresh and frozen aren't bad if you buy the right brand

How do you make them though? I never tried it myself but I remember that when I was a kid my mom tried making fries from fresh potatoes a few times but they weren't as good as frozen ones. There was probably too much water in them.

@CrazyMusicLover My mom makes them, I haven't done it myself.

Here is something I came up with that I really like. I have since found websites promoting the same idea.

Bake a potato in the microwave.
Ideally, let it cool in the refrigerator
Then cut it up and fry it.

(Some advocate an air fryer.)

I think this is completely inoccent and refers to, say, food? Or is there a subtext lol...

@SW-User Considering it's a group for french fries.....

@haybay07 Sorry, I didn’t actually notice that! In that case, I agree with you completely!

Only if I cook them. And yes I do make my own. 😊

I use coconut oil, shorting really BTW. Not corn or vegetable oil.

Fresh is best.
Cut. Rinsed. Chilled. Dried. Fried. Fried again.
Yum.
Time.
Frozen will more often do.
