What kind of fish do you have with 'fish and chips' in the States?

Or is it called a 'fish fry'?
In the UK we have plaice, rock, cod, haddock. I always have plaice, a flat fish and it's delicious. 🐟

@KimmyGary Wow. Have you tried better fish? Like, fish with flavor? Tilapia is farm fish and you should try better fish if you want to be happy for the rest of your life. 👍
