Matt85 · 36-40, M
its got mercury in it
swirlie · 31-35, F
@Matt85
That's why salmon make good thermometers when you hang them on a wall outside your house in winter.
Can’t seem to cook it myself and make it taste great but I’ve eaten it in some restaurants, soooo delicious!!
dale74 · M
Maybe you just don't like the way you cooked it cuz I've had the same and I enjoyed and I've also had salmon I couldn't stand how did you cook it
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@dale74 I just bought preseasoned fillets from Tesco, garlic and herb seasoning, and popped them in the oven for fifteen minutes as directed.
dale74 · M
@assemblingaknob I found what the preseason a lot of times they overseason them
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@dale74 ohhh
dale74 · M
You do want to add a little bit of citrus to it like some lemon or lime either right before you eat it or while you're cooking it
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@dale74 I'll add lemon! I didn't know this hack!
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
Have you tried it with garlic dill lemon and butter cooked on the grill?
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@NeuroticByNature omg I have dill
And garlic paste....and butter!!
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@NeuroticByNature it's preseasoned though. But I can do another marinade I suppose for extra flavour
NeuroticByNature · 41-45, F
@assemblingaknob I would recommend experimenting. Whats the worst that could happen?
dale74 · M
My favorite is cooked on the grill next would probably be pan fried but the grill is always the best
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@dale74 I don't have a grill, can I grill in the oven?
craig7 · 70-79, M
My mother occasionally used to make salmon fishcakes for us in my young days - but I've never been a fan of salmon,then or now.
LemonWorld · F
*sigh* where can i pick it up?
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@LemonWorld xD

i can share the worlds easiest recipe though if youd like
hunkalove · 61-69, M
I love it but I can't afford it. A tiny little sliver of it costs $7.
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@hunkalove wait....I bought filets for a tad less than that ...are you saying it probably was bad quality?
hunkalove · 61-69, M
@assemblingaknob In Pakistan?
Selah ·
I can only eat it smoked and with a ton of garlic chilli sauce
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
I'm not a big fan either. Once in a long while in small amount is enough.
fun4us2b · M
Sometimes you need a break from it....
swirlie · 31-35, F
@fun4us2b
Sometimes you need a break from it? If a person hates salmon, why would they be eating it in the first place?
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
Too high in purines for me to eat. Bad for gout.
deadgerbil · 26-30
Why did you buy it
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
@deadgerbil don't ask 😭 I was vowing to eat healthy.
But I hate it so much I made noodles instead.
It always comes a full circle back to noodles. ☺
popmol · 26-30, M
IF ITS FRESH GIMME
Baaaaaaaa · 26-30, M
Give salmon now pls 🙏
I’ve lost my taste for it over the years.
swirlie · 31-35, F
You're not alone in thinking that.

I recently watched an American documentary on TV which showed that only 2% of the salmon caught in the Atlantic Ocean by American fishermen, goes to the American market, which happens to be everything that American fishermen catch.

100% of what they catch ends up in fish markets on the American seaboard for the eastern American market. But that total amount is only 2% of what America consumes everyday as far as salmon is concerned.

Where does the other 98% of America's total daily consumption of salmon come from then?

It comes from salt water fish farms in China who then ship freshly caught salt water salmon to the USA via FedEx overnight express delivery aboard cargo planes, where it is then distributed 24 hours later to American fish markets and grocery chains throughout Continental USA.

The problem is, those salmon that are raised in Chinese fish farms are fed pelletized fish food which looks like kernels of corn. They are yellow in color but are made from animal fat renderings from slaughter houses mixed with corn meal.

The problem with feeding salmon pelletized fish food is that salmon don't normally eat animal fat, nor do they eat corn meal when they swim freely in the ocean.

When you cook salmon that was raised on a Chinese fish farm, there is an enormous amount of fish oil that comes out of the salmon which stinks like hell while it's cooking, not matter how you make it. Salmon doesn't normally have a lot of oil coming from it when it's cooked, which is the first sign that something isn't right with the fish itself.

Additionally, the steam or smoke that rises from that salmon as it is being cooked will now stick to the kitchen walls and will stick to the inside of cooktop stove exhaust vents.

When it comes to kitchen cleaning, it is like removing lard from the wall surfaces after salmon is cooked, which it actually is when you think about it! Animal fat is lard and if salmon are being fed animal fat and corn meal at a fish farm where they came from, then you are eating lard when you eat salmon today because the animal fat is what the salmon ate back home on the farm!

That is why salmon no longer tastes like salt water fish from the ocean anymore, because it isn't caught wild from the ocean, unless you buy your salmon at a fish market that's within 50 miles of the American eastern seaboard where the real salmon can be found in fresh fish markets.

If you live in UK or central Europe, the same thing applies. Salmon is shipped globally from China every single night.
