@4meAndyou Yeah that’s why I’ll pay extra money for those sweet potatoes. They are packed with anthocyanins and they are tasty too. I boiled one for a smoothie and put some frozen wild blueberries and coconut milk in it. Was tasty. I looked at the water I cooked it in and it was also a bright purple color. Wonder how it would taste. Let it cool down. Then put a packet of stevia in it and drank it. Was surprised at the flavor, almost fruity but not quite but really good. Who needs soft drinks or Koolaid when you can have something like that.
I need to start planting them and plan early by sprouting them in water and getting the sprouts started good by the time they are ready to plant. I have a couple of huge flower pots that I got at Sam’s Club that will be perfect for that.
@tenente It would be fun if they had contests for making an assortment foods without artificial food dyes but had naturally beautiful coloring and had judges including children tasting them and judging them. It would be a fun way of teaching children to eat a rainbow of foods.
