I once spoke with a friend of my father. He was an exchange scientist working in the United States, and a Muslim. I was pretty young, so I was shocked when he told me that he was allowed to have FOUR wives!!! I remember that I said to him, "Well, wouldn't Octa, (his wife), have something to say about that?" And I looked at her, and her eyes were twinkling, and she was smirking a little bit.

Her husband didn't want to admit that she had any power, so he replied, "Well, the husband has to have enough money to support all of them."

So...how would YOU support FOUR husbands? 🤣🤣🤣

@4meAndyou In Islam, if a man divorces his wife, she must marry another man, have a sexual relationship with him, and then get divorced before her original husband can remarry her.

@4meAndyou The concept of wife in Islam is bit different. Ability to support more than one wife seems just an excuse, as there is no restriction for those who really can't very well support more than one wife. Also it is not necessary to take permission from existing wife.

When a friend of one of your husbands sees you with one of the other three : "Man, yo wife's cheatin' on ya"

And he'd just be like "oh, no, don't worry. She's with the other husband of hers"
