My mum cooked us dinner tonight.

I'm pleased to say she prepared us a lovely traditional meal.

But I'm really disappointed that she has stained my white handled knife and my spatula with tumeric.

I use these ingredients myself and often but none of my surfaces or utensils are stained. But now they are. 😭

This is disappointing to say the least.

It's payback for all her things you ruined growing up. Lol.

Anyway, remember. Mom is love. Utensils are just things. Can always just buy new utensils, can't buy new mom.

Try soaking in some bleach /water mix .. has worked for me on several surfaces.

@BrandNewMan thanks for the tip. Currently working on that...

@Mellowgirl Good luck

That stuff stains everything ... I hate that. :/

@Lilymoon tell me about it. I desperately try to be as careful as possible with it.
The fact it's on my knife and stuff means that she used a lot and her hands at some point went into it.
But how.?

@Mellowgirl yeah hopefully you can wash it off eventually.
@Mellowgirl Dumped a bit on the counter, and without thinking, swept it off with her hand, then picked up the knife.

Will it not come out with bleach?
@PatientlyWaiting25 To remove a turmeric stain, act quickly by scraping off any excess turmeric and rinsing the fabric with cold water. Then, apply a mixture of dish soap and white vinegar to the stain, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, and wash the item as usual in cold water.
Not sure if that also works on white handled kitchen knives.
