At first cold water in a pot, then salt in it, then grains of rice (for 2 persons i fill a small coffee cup with the grains), i prefer Basmati rice, then i cook it until the water is almost away. Ready, Bon Appetit ☺

It isn't that I don't know how to make rice.

It's because my wife is from Asia....

Consequently, although it is a daily staple in my house.... I never cook or even touch the rice

Rice cooker, use broth instead of water, and throw in spices and herbs.

Short grain brown rice with Mexican-style diced tomatoes, black beans, mushrooms, onion, and a splash or two of salsa. My healthy version of Spanish rice.
