lasagna...i thought was very complicated. it's SIMPLE actually and DELICIOUS!!

mom made shopping and cooking so much more complicated than she had to. cost was a higher priority than taste. she would go to great lengths to save a nickle.

It’s not hard but the price of all the ingredients is expensive for a meal. Fortunately leftovers if you don’t have a large family
@cherokeepatti When I'm in the mood for lasagne.

@NativePortlander1970 not for me, got a bad case of disappointment and heartburn when I bought that one about 10 years ago. Very little meat & cheese and mostly seasoned tomato sauce, good recipe for disaster with me. I couldn’t sleep that night. I always thought Stouffers was a good brand too.
@cherokeepatti Stouffer's is my favorite brand, all the others give me nasty acid reflux, stouffer's doesn't.

@NativePortlander1970 I got it from Stouffers and also a frozen Aldi’s pizza. It tastes like they are adding sugar to the tomato sauce in both and that’s nasty, doesn’t help with heartburn when added to acidic foods.

@cherokeepatti Add a pinch of salt, a spoonful of olive/canola oil, a shake of oregano, and a shake of parmesan cheese. That should fix the sweetness.

@Massageman not willing to try them again. I don’t eat gluten foods now anyway and make my own gluten-free versions of pizza and pasta now. I don’t want sugar added to any tomato sauces I use.
