On a hot grill. 3 minutes on one side, rotate 90 degrees for perfect grill marks, cook another 3 minutes. Flip and repeat. Pull off grill and let rest 10 minutes. Perfect steak. Only use Ribeye.

@Sojournersoul what if you don't have a grill?
NOS4R2 · 36-40
@Sojournersoul sounds like it could still be a bit bloody being cooked so quickly.
Sojournersoul · M
@Lilymoon preheat oven to 500 degrees and place cast iron skillet in for 20 minutes. Let steak come to room temp and use olive oil on both sides. When pan is hot, sear both sides for at least a minute over high. Place back in hot oven for 3 minutes, turn and cook 3 minutes more. Removed and let it rest.

@Sojournersoul pretty much this
Sojournersoul · M
@NOS4R2 with a 400 degree grill. It is a perfect medium. Of course you could go longer on each side just check the internal temp
Lilymoon · F
@Sojournersoul and that comes out medium cooked?
Sojournersoul · M
@Lilymoon yes but make sure you check the temp of the meat. To make sure for you. But 3 to 4 minutes has always worked for me.
Lilymoon · F
@Sojournersoul ahhh another thing I don't have is a meat thermometer lmao
Sojournersoul · M
@Lilymoon need to get one to make sure your meat is ready.
Lilymoon · F
@Sojournersoul also I really only like tenderloin steak which is ridiculously expensive so I need to get it right 🤦🏻♀️
Sojournersoul · M
@Lilymoon I love ribeye and it is $20 for one steak right now, i don’t like messing them up either.
Lilymoon · F
@Sojournersoul yep
JohnnyNoir · 56-60, M
@Sojournersoul ribeyes are the best but I just grilled some chuckeye steaks which are a bit smaller and usually have a little more fat in them.
Sojournersoul · M
@JohnnyNoir make have to try it.
@Sojournersoul 8oz ribeye is now $15.99 around here.
