What was your worst cooking disaster?

Me-I just made a lovely breakfast of perfectly scrambled eggs and delicately crisp bacon, and dropped it on the floor! 😩

Hmmmm ????

(1) the time I punched 18 minutes on high on the microwave rather than 18 seconds to just make the coffee a little warmer, and then got distracted ...... untill !!!!!

(2) not really cooking, but bringing in the groceries and the handhold for a 12 pack of soft drinks failed, and the carton fell, hit the floor and exploded.

(3) also not cooking, but in the kitchen, when a super sized, open container of liquid Tide got knocked over and enough soap for 120 loads of laundry coated the kitchen floor.

@Heartlander LOL. I to spilled a huge bottle of laundry soap. I tried to save as much as I could by using a scraper and a dust pan making a bigger mess. I feel ya !!!

@4meAndyou @missyann It took a few weeks to clean up. It was a wood parquet (sp?) Big beach towels at first in hope of absorbing what was possible, wringing them out over over and over, until just the sticky layer. Then wet mopped and blow dried over and over. More soap oozing from between the wood tiles every cycle. Two weeks before we could walk on it without feet sticking to the floor.

@Heartlander That's almost shocking!!! I was worried you might slip and fall...but the length of time it took to get that up...it must have been an absolute heartache!

@4meAndyou Thankfully we didn't have to walk through it. We put a few brick stepping stoned to make it accessible while cleaning up the mess. :) we still reference that incident whenever anyone sees a big super-size container of Tide.
