That’s the first time I hear the term “ostrovegan “ . Interesting!!

@SW-User Me neither - it's bollocks, isn't it? There's no way a mollusc is a plant. Ostrovegans are just hypocrites.

@BlueVeins For most of the vegans I have met - and I produce vegan food as part of what I do for a living - not eating living things is an ethical, lifestyle choice. What are we going to see next: bovinevegan? Eats plants and bloody steaks but no other kind of meat or fish, drinks only cows milk???? 😂

@ArtieKat there is no need to be rude like this. Our lifestyles make us all hypocrites and ostrovegans are doing more for animals and the environment than most of us. What next doesn’t come into it, as long as people are reducing their meat consumption in any way it’s a good thing and they shouldn’t be shamed.

@ArtieKat
"Not eating living things" isn't a lifestyle choice; it's suicide. Plants are living things.
That's the slippery slope fallacy.

@ArtieKat Most vegans I've ever known practice veganism to prevent animal suffering and protect the environment. The consumption of sessile bivalves is far, far more environmentally conscious and friendly to sentient life than most farmed crops under conventional farming practices.
