I Love Cooking For People I Love

Tonight I am cooking a sausage casserole. There is shepherd’s pie for tonight. But I go to church tomorrow after college so I shall not have time to cook. Sausage casserole is easy to make and easy to heat up if there isn’t much time! And you don’t need expensive sausages. I bought sausages in Tesco this afternoon on my way home from school. 89pence for 454g. Really sausages are sold by the half pound still. But EU regulations mean we call it 454g. Half pound means each sausage is one ounce. But shop owners would be in jail if they called it that. Will we go back to pounds and ounces when we leave. Gawn ni weld!

Nice. I got some really cheap beef, cut it up & put it in the slow cooker to cook all day, with some tarragon, soy, sugar, and apple vinegar. Throw some broccoli in the top to slow steam when I get home, and voila! easy easy meal :)

Not so easy. You got a lot of preparation. You should not make it sound so easy! Like me you got to think out 48 or even 72 hours ahead. All the time. No holidays. Like with my pump. I had to remember to take an insulin cartridge out of the fridge this morning to change it tonight. I have to keep insulin in the fridge but it has to be room temperature to go in the pump!@firefall

@Blodyn True enough, it does require forward planning (only a little, as I get the groceries delivered to my door, talk about lazy lol). But cutting up some beef & dumping all the ingredients in the slow cooker doesn't feel like much cooking (& the broccoli comes pre-chopped). A lot less effort than you do.

I hear you on the insulin - I'm lucky with subcutaneous injections, you can inject still cold, it's just uncomfortable, but it works: not like the issues for using a pump or an IV injection

@Blodyn I’m T2 relearning how to cook to accommodate it.
@firefall 25 years ? I respect that so much. I’m in my second year.

What does T2 mean? 4018? @bijouxbroussard
@Blodyn Sorry, Type 2.
Blodyn · 22-25, F
I thought you meant T for Time plus 2 for 2000 years! I misunderstood. I am so used to recieving messages from all over! @bijouxbroussard
