I Wtk Your Cooking Disaster Stories

I attempted to make macaroni and cheese for the second time; first time was a success. I was in the kitchen and hungry, like I usually am. I started making mac n' cheese and everything was going great, until Step Two. Somehow, I missed the very last sentence in Step Two, which was "Drain water." I went onto Step Three, which was "Add cheese." After I added the cheese, I then noticed I missed that last sentence in Step Two. I drained out the water in the sink and unfortunately, the cheese went down the drain too. The macaroni wasn't the least bit cheesy like I had hoped.

My sister was in the kitchen with me and she could not stop laughing. My mom came into the kitchen and asked me, "What happened to the cheese?" I wanted to lie to her and tell her it didn't come with any cheese. I just stood there in embarrassment.

I am not the type of person who likes to waste food. I ate my very, very disappointing meal. There wasn't any sort of happy expression on my face and eating it is just as depressing as it sounds. I even thought adding Cheez Whiz would make it a little better, but it didn't. I still could hear my sister laughing at me from her bedroom. I felt like I was really torturing myself, but I manage to finish it all. I'm normally not as happy after I finished my food because it is gone, but this was the only time I was actually happy I finished my food.

@bhatjc: I'm still learning. It wasn't that long ago when I made myself a grilled cheese sandwich and it came out pretty good.

@A7xqueen: I love your humor! I am not sure even ketchup could have saved the macaroni, but I'll try it if this situation somehow occurs again. :P

Why didn't you just grate more cheese?
Renoire · 26-30, F
I forgot to drain the water too once but I didn't throw it out. It became some slimy cheese abomination and the macaronis were all soggy.
@bhat he's...beginning to believe!

You learned from that man. Now you can be a better cook.

and make the cheese sauce on the side if you are using powder, mix it with milk ,then with some other cheese. in a hot pot
i turned the stove too high when i was gonna deep fry something. the oil caught on fire and i had to take the pot outside to the driveway and let it burn.

OMG😨 That's awful, are you ok? 😢 Couldn't you add ketchup or something...you shouldn't of put yourself through that 🤗

Yes, I was extra careful not to butter both sides. Lol

@Renoire: Thank you for your comment. I am glad I'm not alone on this. 🤘

reminds me of the time i put the pot of ready gravy in the sink because of lack of space on the counter (small kitchen) but then i put the tap on and watch the water pour into the pot oh F*ck !! my Gravy !!! , lol

I didn't even think about it, lol.
bhatjc · 46-50, M
did you butter the outside of the bread when you did it
bhatjc · 46-50, M
after you drained it. Don't rinse it.

And hm... I guess it was when I wanted to make a oven-baked fillet of pork, I accidentally forgot to burn the outside of the pork and add any spices. But luckily the same day I made 3 other dished at the same time to practice, so it worked out lol.
Holy shit man! I'm sorry you had to go through that. That's the kind of shit that sticks with you for life.

Much respect man. Stay cheesy 😉
