Anyone else frequently turn on the coffee maker in the morning only to come back 10 minutes later to find it wasn’t plugged in?

Well, for me it's a kettle and the water is for tea; but I've probably made a similar mistake occasionally...

The kettle stays on its base and that stays plugged in, so if I forget anything it is switching it on!

.....

Was using one of two adjacent computers at work one day, on a bench cluttered with equipment and a huge spaghetti of power and signal cables. Took me a while to realise nothing was happening on the screen because I was using the other PC's keyboard.

I don't drink coffee, but there have plenty of mornings when I put sausages in a pan and forget to turn the burner on!

I'm glad we have a restaurant style one. It can brew a pot under two minutes

@HumanEarth She said do you ever forget it isn't plugged in & try to brew coffee?
HumanEarth · F
Oh yeah, I did it again. But it pours water over the top of the grounds. It would just be cold brew
No, but sorry.

I make mine in a cafétière, so it is the kettle which must be switched on
