You're probably sick of my posts about Riff. But guess what?

Here's another one.
I ventured forth to the kitchen to put the coffee on only to find that she'd completely destroyed the bunch of sunflowers that were given to me yesterday. The kitchen floor is now a carpet of petals and stem, an orange mess. I haven't cleaned it up yet; she's sitting in the middle and eating petals. I'll be pissed off if I have to clean up orange cat throw up.

Sunflowers are hardy in U.S. Department of Agriculture plant hardiness zones 6 through 9. They are often used as cut flowers, which means indoor cats may also get into the plants. Although they are non-toxic, any plant, when ingested, can cause minor stomach upset in cats, according to the ASPCA.

@Serenitree When Smudge needs to throw up she'll go outside and eat grass. Not sure why but it works for her.

@Cavedweller We had an orange cat named smudge too, because he had what looked like a smudge of white icing on his nose.

@Serenitree Do you currently have a cat?

@Cavedweller I have to agree, my babies are very lovely. But then again, most cats are. Even the ugly ones are beautiful.

Speaking of cats, and beautiful. Look what I found on google images today.

@Serenitree I've posted this pic a lot here. My phone is of poor quality and that limits the amount of photos I post.

@Cavedweller Is this your Smudge? She's a Tuxedo cat, like my Misty.
Cavedweller · 46-50, F
@Serenitree That's Riff. I'll post a pic of Smudge.

@Cavedweller Cats are hilarious. This is a picture of Tucker when he got fat. I have him on a diet now, but he was quite ginormous.

@Serenitree That's one happy big boy! How old is he?
Serenitree · F
@Cavedweller He'll be five in December. He was rescued by the cat rescue society where I live, in the middle of a very cold snap, there was feral mom and four kittens, two of whom had already frozen to death. She was near dead, and the two remaining kittens were only alive because she was literally using her last breaths to breathe on them. The rescue people managed to save all three. The only thing was, from the day they were rescued, until they were adopted out, the only time human hands touched them, if was either painful or frightening. They were rescued at four weeks old and adopted out at ten weeks. It was sad, and funny. No feet had ever done anything to them, so Tucker wasn't afraid of my feet. He'd run ahead of me and lie on his back so I could rub his tummy with my foot, but if I reached for him with my hands, he'd run and hide for hours. He was nearly two before he trusted anybody's hands. He came and slept on my bed at my feet, but if I moved, he'd jump down and wait for me to settle again before coming up.
