Brew Dog's Punk IPA is my usual go to.
Not often available when out drinking, especially on draught, but their Wingman lager is gaining popularity.
Neck Oil and Tiny Rebel also do a great range of craft ales that are more and more available on draught locally.
Staropromen and Atlantic IPA are also favourites.

a good sweet brown ale

A real ale, none of that mass produced chemical stuff. There's a beer called ginger Tom. It's infused with ginger root and peppery spices. There's also chocolate Tom which has cocoa in it. It's really strong so I can have much of it but it's lovely ☺

I haven't drank any alcohol in two and a half years, I can't afford it anymore and I'm too old, but I liked good German beer.

I enjoy drinking beers that are made in private boutique breweries.
Pale or Amber ales , but IPAs can also be good

A good lager like we have here in the Netherlands or Germany. Like Grolsch or Warsteiner.

(I think the Americans call it "craft beer", which is as meaningless as "real".)

Bottled versions are readily available but they can't be "bottle conditioned". They could not bottled still holding live yeast, so would need at least filtering.
