I cooked barbecue chicken wings in my glass bowl convection cooker last night and they were excellent.

First time I cooked them that way. Didn’t want to go outside in the heat to cook them or use the oven and heat up the house. Made a big bowl of potato salad to go with them. Winco had wings on sale for $2.48 a pound.
Love hot wings. I do mine on the grill. Crowd them over direct heat, flip every 5 minutes for 20 minutes. Take them off the grill, give them a bath in the sauce. Back on the grill, 2 minutes a side. Then eat.

@BizSuitStacy I make hot wings by dipping them in diluted Sriracha sauce and then in flour and repeat once more and then salt them.. Bake on a large pizza pan. Would like to try in the convection cooker. They are dry wings and I have them with Ranch dip

Wings used to be soup stock only. Almost giveaways. Now they are $5-6 a pound here….if you can find them

@LunarOrbit probably due to them being sold in wing restaurants and sports bars etc They used to cheaper than chicken breast but no more. Also thighs are getting more expensive since they figured out to remove the bones and skin to make filets

@cherokeepatti Both wings and thighs are unhealthy compared to breasts but my goodness are they good!

@LunarOrbit I don’t know about that

Have you tried an air fryer?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@MrBrownstone it’s basically the same thing but much cheaper and two racks, holds more

@cherokeepatti I use a Georgia Foreman grill
