Could you replace butter with coconut milk when making cookies?

I learned that puddings are great when you go 50/50 but baking seems a bit trickier. Has anybody tried it?

I prefer butter but plant based oils might be a healthier choice over coconut oil .

@SW-User healthier choice ?

@Khenpal1 Coconut oil is 92% saturated fat and therefore raises cholesterol levels similar to animal fats (butter, lard). However, it contains a unique type of medium chain saturated fat called lauric acid that research shows raises HDL or "good" cholesterol levels, which may lower overall heart disease risk.

@SW-User not so sure as with all fats it still has it own side effects. My choice of fats would be ghee or sesame oil .

@Khenpal1 Ghee is a natural food with a long history of medicinal and culinary uses. It provides certain cooking advantages over butter and is certainly preferable if you have a dairy intolerance. Both can be enjoyed in moderation as part of a healthy diet. However, no evidence suggests that it's healthier than butter overall. 💁‍♂

@SW-User Ghee would be less harmful than butter , butter gets better with being frozen from 12 months up. Sesame oil is much less harmful among them all, Japanese claims so.

@Khenpal1 all saturated fats are good but when it comes to flavour I’ll always choose butter in moderation .😀

@SW-User Well , the more fat cheese is the more its tasteful , being less fat it does not means is more healthy. The trend of being healthy , often ends in unhealthy result. 😁
