question for europeans

what are these in europe here they are biscuits but what yall call biscuits we call cookies in the us i wondered this for years?

Looks like a scone/scon. What us Brits call it and also otherwise known as afternoon tea. Usually sweet will have jam and cream on and savoury might be made of cheese, others might be blueberry or other flavour.
