what are these in europe here they are biscuits but what yall call biscuits we call cookies in the us i wondered this for years?

They look like Scones or Scons depending on where you are in the UK.

Butter
Flour
Raising agent
Pinch of salt or measure of sugar or cheese depending on which type you make.

Baked in the oven.
