For all the truly beginning bakers... A simple apple treat.
It's so simple that I almost never tried it before.
Preheat oven to 325°f. Place a Standard red apple cut in half down the center on tin foil big enough to wrap it in. About six of them, though I did eight. Sprinkle a little olive oil over the open side. Note not butter yet.
Bake on the rack, no pan necessary, for 1 and a half hours.
Wa-lah your done baking. Unwrap and place in a container to cool off.
Once it's cooled off, and do let it cool off to finish the baking process, you can sprinkle cinnamon, sugar and half a tablespoon of butter then stick in the microwave for 1 minute and a half.
Instant apple treat.
You could of course put the cinnamon, sugar and butter before baking yet it won't store for very long. Best to put it on individually.
