Does alcohol temporarily improve uncorrected visual acuity?

According to internet science, alcohol has no positive effects on vision of any kind...

But it also seems like you aren't alone, as least a few others have suggested that their vision gets better after one drink... but additional drinks after that don't improve it anymore, just the first one (shot).

One person's random theory was the person maybe has an over active brain, and the first bit of alcohol calms the over active brain... and maybe it seems to help that way ... without the eyes actually changing.

Nah... everything looks better when you've had a few - it's likely psychological rather than physical.

very simple. alcohol tightens your arteries and Viens, the very small Viens in your eyes tighten up, so that increases your vision, short term

It just seems sharper cause the room is fuzzy.

You probably get numbed enough to not notice anymore how blurry your vision still is.

I've heard of beer goggles but not in this form.🤔
