I'm done with drinking for some years now! It's great:D I totally don't miss IT, or Myself on it, or any other person I would get to meet through that energy. I drink now few times a year and it's pretty fun to experience myself tipsy but then I don't drink again for months..
Same with weed, used to be smoking but now I smoke couple of times per year and I appreciate the insights, I remember again a couple of things and I return to being sovereign. Nothing beats sovereignty for me nowadays!
Good luck on the new journey of yours!!!

@Tumbleweed I read that post of yours yes.. I think it is also okay to end up crying and puking. Clearing and releasing but yeah as you can release all of the bottles along with it, to my understanding that's for the best..:)

@Boeing I definitely feel free and content now 🙂

@Tumbleweed Drinking is ok.. Just avoid the alcohol.. I am a great believer in coffee and Coca cola as social lubricant..😷

I hear ya! As a former bartender way back in the 80s yes I would say White Russians are a great tasting drink and Tequila shots with lemon and salt are an awesome experience with friends, I rarely if ever drink from my own full bar. I keep only as a courtesy for my tenant and a free attraction for new ones in the ad. Last time I had a drink in over a year was on Christmas day anyway. Already gifted a fine unopened bottle of spiced Rum to my cousins to enjoy (esp. with coke). Thinking of just giving them my full bar and all side paraphernalia. That part of my life has passed long ago anyway.
Cleaning out your house of all alcohol is a life achievement! Well done! Long Live the Liver!

So proud of you!
I'm trying to quit too, but it's so much harder than I thought this time.
I quit once before, and was sober for 9 years. This time I struggle not to drink every single night, regardless of wether or not I have the money for it. I've figured out too many ways to get a hold of alcohol.
I genuinely hope you stick with it. And if you ever get tempted let me tell you, every time you quit, it's harder to follow through with it.

Congratulations! But you did something so much more. You extended your life and are a great example to others, especially the family. You broke the cycle. You overcame the flesh. You are sanctified. This happens when one is Born Again of the Spirit, having invited Jesus into their heart and life as their personal Savior. This is the work of the Holy Spirit doing a transformation in you, and your transformation shall continue all along in your life, as you grow in Christ. This is very special.
Sanctification is God’s will for us (1 Thessalonians 4:3). To “sanctify” something, is to set it apart for special use. This means you're becoming more like Christ. The Bible refers to sanctification as a practical experience of our separation from sin, unto God.
Sanctification is the effect of obedience to the Word of God in one’s life. It is the same as growing in the Lord (2 Peter 3:18) or spiritual maturity. God started the work of making us like Christ, and He is continuing it (Philippians 1:6). This type of sanctification is to be pursued by the believer (1 Peter 1:15; Hebrews 12:14) and is effected by the application of the Word (John 17:17). Progressive sanctification has in view, the setting apart of believers, for the purpose for which they are sent into the world: “As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. The fact that Jesus set Himself apart for God’s purpose, is both the basis and the condition of our being set apart (see John 10:36).
Our Lord’s sanctification is the pattern of and power for our own. The sending and the sanctifying are inseparable. Prior to salvation, our behavior bore witness to our standing with the world, in separation from God, but now our behavior bears witness to our standing before God in separation from the world. Little by little, every day, “those who are being sanctified” (Hebrews 10:14) are becoming more like Christ.

I stopped drinking anything more than 10 years ago. Still have a couple dozen bottles of assorted beverages. If I make a Bloody Mary it won’t have alcohol in it. I don’t like the way alcohol made me feel, even a drink or two, I felt tired afterward.
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
Best decision I’ve ever made… I am so much healthier and just an overall better human without alcohol! Life is much easier with a clear head
Stephie · F
...and you are still able to write with all that intake? 🤣
I would be under the table and snoring or have my head in the toilet bowl 🤢
Kudos! You have my high esteem 🫢
