Best thing i ever did was quit drinking

I feel lighter, brighter and instead of surviving im thriving. I look better i feel better I'm getting stuff done. Too bad it's taken me so long but the point is i did it.

@Steve42 been there many times they help me alot i went to over 200 meetings in a year some 2 times in one day
@olderuncle944 So a correct response would be to suggest that someone struggling with alcoholism go to AA if they mention that they have been to prior meetings???

Alcohol issues aren't something that I have had personally, I was able to walk away from alcohol at a young age and now live almost tee total.

@HootyTheNightOwl AA is open, free and welcoming to anyone who struggles with alcohol.
There is much support and wisdom to be found in the rooms and the only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.Or in cases like mine that began with a court order, haha.
@dubkebab I understand how it might help to be surrounded by others who are going through the same struggles with the same addiction as you are... maybe you can get some tips on how to manage your addiction - or just a sympathetic ear if it's been a rough week since your last visit.

I sometimes see others on SW who are struggling with alcohol addiction and I try to help and support them through that. I admit that I'm a troll - but even a troll can't always turn a blind eye to other people who are struggling and clearly reaching out for help to stay on their wagon (whichever one they are struggling to stay on).

@HootyTheNightOwl These are words of wisdom.
I've been able to help some sufferers along the way just like fireman Mike,Steveman, Phil and others nurtured my shambling wreck along the path to a happier destiny.
I'm one of the lucky ones.
This shit kills and painfully destroys families in the process.
