Update on adding poultry to my diet

So far so good. I started small, with chicken broth, and by the weekend, I was able to eat lean chicken (not processed) just fine. Have not tried turkey yet.

I've noticed a significant increase in my energy levels, probably due to finally getting adequate protein and iron.

Turkey is nice,a little dry but i prefer it to chicken.

I was discussing medication with a colleague today who suffers iron deficiency. I suffer the same side effects with my arthritis medication. She said she found taking her iron medication every second day has made a hell of a difference. If you are eating chicken now, it may be worth trying that too. Just thought I'd pass it on in case you've not tried that.

Fish is another staple that is good for your digestive system

@rebelsoul I eat fish already. I was a Pescetarian for years. But poultry is the only way I can get heme iron.

Yes. The lie is that meat is bad.
Not it is not. Healthy meats is where it is at. Our bodies was made to consume it. 😌

@Zonuss poultry and fish are all I eat. I will never do red meat or pork.

It's really fucking hard adjusting a diet. Good on you for attempting it, hope it works out. I was making keto fried chicken which was okay with mayo... But Im transitioning out of keto so need to try make regular gluten free breades chicken now.

I managed to add a few months ago once I found one, an unsweetened greek yoghurt and u sweetened kefir I mix for supper every day. It has 20 drops of liquid monk fruit and I take it with a Magnesium Biglycinate. Its sweet, a good form of protein and the magnesium is easily digestible as it doesnt pull water into the intestines.
