Serious question for you Brits. Re: fish & chips
Have you noticed any differences between what's being advertised as available at your chippy and what you're actually getting ?
I did some research a while back as my Mother started to regularly grumble that whatever's being sold as Rock or even Cod is 'nothing like as good as it used to be'.
Seems there are alternatives being used but they're not using the correct name on the menu.
Kinda curious as to how they're getting away with that given the multitude of laws (especially concerning food) they legally have to follow.
I suspect this is the result of having to fish within our own territorial waters now that we've left the EU.
With fuel and running costs so high, along with depleting stocks hemisphere wide, independent UK fisherman are perhaps not venturing as far afield as they used to.
