Kerrygold Irish is my favorite, I definitely taste the difference!!
Harmonium1923 · 56-60, M
Most tastes the same to me, except Kerrygold is noticeably better.
ElwoodBlues · M
@Harmonium1923 Agreed! I looked it up:
That explains the difference! I'm sure there are other higher fat butters out there but I've never done the research.
Kerrygold contains about 82% butterfat, while standard American supermarket butters typically contain 80%.

I usually use Smart Balance spread, but when I do eat butter I am not picky at all.
bookerdana · M
I know you were talking about butter😄 Sorry I no longer use it but Land of lakes is good
bijouxbroussard · F
Kerrygold Unsalted. I can tell the difference, especially cooking with it.

Kerrygold
O, yes... the difference in composition/texture, color and taste is profound

@Mamapolo2016 Are getting enough zinc? It can be a cause but not the only one, of course.
Mamapolo2016 · F
@faery I take a supplement, but I’m forever reading supplements don’t accomplish much.
faery · F
@Mamapolo2016 Could be something else, and it probably is something else. I hope you can taste the Kerrygold because it's truly delicious and luscious. You can see by its color it's full of fat-soluble vitamins that are hard to get other places.
Horace · M
It's all the same to me. I rarely use it, but when I do, it's real butter.
LadyBronte · 61-69, F
Kerrygold Irish is all I will buy.
HumanEarth · F
Homemade straight from a cow
HumanEarth · F
We live around a ton of Amish/Mennonites and their way of life rubs off on us in a good way

@HumanEarth
You have a cow that gives butter?
You have a cow that gives butter?
HumanEarth · F
No, you take the cream off the top of the milk to make the butter

@anoderod55 For a reason hard to explain, I can’t eat yoghurt. It’s a texture thing and I get nauseated.
anoderod55 · 70-79, M
@Mamapolo2016 I understand that . Guacamole for me . 🦖
BrewCityBarFly · M
There was a small cheese factory in the middle of an Amish area that also sold roll butter. It didn't look much different, however, was noticeably better in taste. Haven't been there in a long time...
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I buy real butter ,but I usually by the store brand.

exexec · 70-79, C

bowman81 · M
I just buy the store brand or whichever is cheapest...plain unsalted butter. I can't tell the difference.
I can only have Lurpak/Norpak.
Softandsweet2 · 36-40, F
