Good question...
What is the best and safest non-stick cookware ?

I have 2 cast iron pieces American-made and manufactured around 1940, a set of heavy waterless stainless steel manufactured in the early 1970’s and a small set of ceramic pots and skillets. My rheumatologist recommended ceramic-lined above all others. I like to cook some things in cast iron and others in stainless steel. Ceramic is less likely to still but have to be so careful not to overheat, not to spray with pan spray (a tiny bit olive oil only) and to be very careful how I clean it. It’s lasted for 2 years without problems.

i'm no chef but those hexclad pots and pans everyone talks about are so easy to cook with and clean 😩👌

Stainless or cast iron.
FreestyleArt · 36-40, M
@Munumbis same. Although for some foods, copper
Munumbis · 46-50, M
@FreestyleArt I've never owned copper.

@Munumbis it's not really recommended for most, but only certain meats without oil.

"The right tool for the job" as my dad says... all the time btw :D but it really does depend on what you're making. Nothing acidic should be cooked in aluminum, eggs do best in non-sticks, non-stick can't go in the oven, etc

I have a bit of a random collection, cast iron I got from my aunt, it's over 60 years old at least. La Creuset enameled cast iron I found at Goodwill, heavy stainless steel from Costco

If you have the dollars All-Clad is a great brand, along with La Creuset. Yes they are expensive but with care your grandkids would still be using them

@Patty81 You beat me to offering a sensible comment

Stainless steel saucepans and cast iron or glass casserole dishes

I use Cuisinart commercial cookware for the most part. I've had them for 30 years. I DO have a cast iron dutch oven and a cast iron ridged grill pan...but if you want to know which pans are the best, Gordon Ramsey highly recommends Hexclad cookware.
I only use 1 brand
