I put ice in my water. I like to live on the edge.

@rinkydinkydoink Back & Forth I've never seen it but I've a feeling it's something they did like a decade of so later after the series' had finished and it might of been a millennium special. So I wouldn't be surprised if they're bouncing through the last 1000 years in a time machine.
Hugh Laurie pops up in a number of the series' BTW I mean it has recurring characters and themes even though the series' are set 100s of years apart. It's like they're all the ancestors of their previous incarnations so a lot of the actors return and are usually pretty much the same character.
Although Blackadder is a lot different in the first series they decided to change his personally in the second and stuck with it from then on. Like I say the first series is a lot more experimental and there's certain things they hadn't quite worked out.

There was an American sketch comedy show from the 1960s (the show that launched the career of Goldie Hawn) called Laugh-In. I'm just back from YouTube watching a full episode from its first year... let me tellya, the humor which was cutting edge back then sure as hell ain't a bit funny now. In fact it was embarrassing.
As far as Brit humor goes, can the same be said about Blackadder or even Monty Python? Or have those shows withstood the test of time?
This will be the last question forya old kid old bean!

@rinkydinkydoink I like Monty Python retro respectively I mean I can see how it pioneered the move into more off the cuff abstract British comedy, although a lot of it's themes are before my time and certain parts of it have aged better than others.
Blackadder's like a bumbling aristocratic thing like you have all these characters at the top end of British society that can barely tie their shoelaces, so it's more the characters themselves that are funny.
Blackadder goes fourth definitely still holds up really well though, I mean all of them are good but WWI is an easier era of time to understand and everything just comes together in that series.

No, hot pop however, IS, a Missouri cultural thang, that I'm proud to take part in.
Also, while not exactly hot, I usually order soft drinks without ice as well........ because I'm hard core. 😎

There's a famous movie called All the King's Men - Broderick Crawford as a corrupt Southern U.S. politician.
There's a scene where the sheriff offers a man a "pop" - so, it seems even in the Deep South, pop is an accepted term :D

Okay, I'll be the village weirdo by saying I drink it hot quite often. Not because it tastes any better, but because my tummy hurts. I'm not even sure where I got the idea, but it helps sometimes. 😌

A C of warm/hot water, with a T of honey, a t of cinnamon, and a t of turmeric, and a T of Apple cider vinegar , on an empty stomach before bed....helps clean up a lot of issues

Sounds soothing and I've got a bottle of apple cider vinegar in the fridge door doing nothing.
EDIT: Walmart carries the two powders and the honey so... I gotta try this

You're right. I knew beer was preferred warm - even hot - in years past but warm/hot water came as a revelation to me.
