What is your favorite type of food?

@sarabee1995 close. Pescetarian. But even before I made that choice 11 years ago I still preferred veggies and pasta.

@TheRealBarbossa Very cool. I like them as well, but I can't do without my proteins. I am liking more and more seafood lately, but still enjoy the occasional land protein as well. :)

@sarabee1995 I didn't stop eating land animals bc of the taste. I stopped because of my concience.

But that's me and my choice. I've no intention of trying to convince others to follow my lead.

@sarabee1995 No, just fish. I tried calamari, but again, my concience stopped me.


I'd love to quit fish aswell, but being born and raised in a family of hunters, my diet would become even more of a bother than it already is. Especially since I'm very picky aswell.

@TheRealBarbossa Please don't take this question wrong (I'm sincerely interested). What is the ethical difference between fish and squid (calamari)? I understand the difference for some people with land-based proteins, but I'm not sure I understand the distinction here? 🤔

@sarabee1995 I can't really explain it with words. My choice is based on how I feel when eating it.

@sarabee1995 absolutely. And as much as I wish food and fur animals were treated better and whatnot, I made a concious choice not to be one of those preachy pescetarians. I don't like having religion, lifestyles, etc pushed on me, so I wouldn't wanna do that to others either.

@TheRealBarbossa Agreed. I do like talking about these subjects, but try to always do so in a way not to sound judgy or proselytizing. But I like learning about how others think and see the world. :)
