What would a "non-food" restaurant be?
RodneyTrotter1 · 100+, M
@JoyfulSilence McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell...

@RodneyTrotter1

But that is technically food.

For me, it’s a place called “Teppanya”.
Bit pricey but for the experience - it is quite good.

You and other people will be seated around a box shape table with stove and chef at the middle.
The chef will be cooking the steak and other stuff for you.

my favorite pizza is from Papa Gino's (thier pasta is pretty good too for a chain) and my favorite asian food is UMI's (sushi and seafood buffet) lunch buffet.

I love really well prepared Chinese food. There used to be a place near the Plympton/Carver line that did a fantastic job. Royal Garden in Kingston is good, too.

AND New Tokyo in Plymouth does a lobster maki roll that is out of this world!

@4meAndyou I absolutely LOVE good quality Chinese food!

Lizbal's Cafe: They do a mix of Indian, Mexican, Turkish, Aussie (Baked spuds, fish and chips) with coffee and ice cream selections. Their prices are fare. Plus each day there is a discount on certain meals.

A good Indian would be my first choice, Greek or Chinese a difficult choice for second and my last would be Italian because I have to be craving it to find it appealing.
I like Red Lobster and Longhorn Steakhouse.
@MsSwan

There's a mexican restaurant around here called Mexican Inn Cafe and I hate that name.

It is neither a place that serves coffee nor is it an Inn.

You can't sleep there so why would they call it an "Inn".

Also the word for coffee in spanish is cafe but they don't serve coffee.

Deport.
@unsociableAnthony That's strange. How did they come up with that name.

I haven't been in a restaurant in 9 years. Can't imagine I ever will again.

Cracker Barrel because they have very good biscuits and gravy plus thick bacon and coffee!

Mexican places in converted gas stations. Extra points if they have to call a child because the adults don't speak English.

Life in a border state.
