I thought I would try one of those meal kit delivery services...

I just can't do it ...even the cheapest one you can find is not as cheap as buying your own groceries and making your own food, even if you have your groceries delivered and pay the $7.00 Delivery charge.
The cheapest one I could find is still $60.00 a week before delivery fees for 3 meals.
That's $180 +every two weeks or $360+ a month to eat 3 meals a week!
Not three full days of meals, but one meal a day for 3 days!
I probably spend $80-$85 a week for all my meals for the week.
Probably less, because I do eat a lot of leftovers and there's always ingredients that go into the next week for
Breakfast, lunch , and dinner.

I had a similar experience. It’s too bad, because it would be so helpful, especially for those of us with dietary restrictions, to have an affordable food delivery service available.

@bijouxbroussard I thought about joining a place like thrive market or misfit foods, but you got to pay a subscription price plus delivery fees and I don't want to do that.
I am thinking about having some of my groceries delivered, though, that in itself will be a time saver.
We don't have a lot of programs here to save food waste ,but we have one called flash foods ,but only one store here participates.
I have bought some groceries that way, but it's very little and there isn't very much variety.
@Justmeraeagain I’ve been a Prime member for awhile, and I use a lot of their service. They deliver groceries, and I like that they will deliver fresh fruit and veggies (as available) and other items for no more than a $2.99 delivery charge. This is rarely new; their Fresh program required you to spend at least $100 to get free delivery. But now, you can buy what you need at that time (I’ll buy just a week’s staples, or ingredients for a dish) for considerably less, and it works for me.
Yea and i hate all the packaging its too much trash from it. Also they come with a bunch of ingredients i dont use i dont like spicy foods so no chili peppers for me. Dont order them better spend your money on a cosco membership or bjs or whatever you have in your area. When i used to live in Connecticut i likes stop and shop.
Dude same! They look neat and all but I just can't justify it.

@Coralmist
It might be cheaper if you go out to eat for every single meal, otherwise, I can't see where it'd be less expensive?
They say less food waste, but I use my food up.
I'll freeze it if I don't eat it all or processes it so it doesn't go bad.

@Justmeraeagain Right, I don't think it'd be less than buying groceries and making say five nights of meals. I rarely waste anything as well. If I do win the lottery I'll try them though lol.

Im not interested in spending the money on it.
