Corned beef hash

This is another dish that goes down well in my family, I love making bakes that you can prepare ahead and then clean round whilst they are cooking.

In this I fry off some onions, then add a layer of tinned corned beef, then top with tinned baked beans.

Next cover with mashed potatoes (you can hide extra veg in the mash too, they will never know!) top with grated cheese and some sliced tomatoes and/or mixed herbs then bake until the cheese has turned golden brown.

We have this with salad or oven baked tomatoes with a bit of balsamic vinegar.

Looks good. Though corned beef hash is usually with potatoes or some other root veggie.

@JonLosAngeles66 there are a lot of variations, from a lot of different places, counties. Each with different recipes

@jackjones68 do you do lobbies with potatoes?
@jackjones68 oh yeah you guys are in the UK. Here in the US it's usually potatoes cooked in a skillet with onions and corned beef served with eggs on top. I believe the earliest one here was with beets instead of potatoes. But hey we call biscuits cookies and scones biscuits. Lol

@PatientlyWaiting25 potatoes, onions and carrots. Corned beef and stock. With the most important ingredient brown sauce
It was always a cheap, filling meal served with bread.

@JonLosAngeles66 If we make a stew,we would add dumplings. I guess similar to your biscuits
