I still want to help people.

Every month a leave a grocery bag full of food for homeless passerbys I do it once or twice a month. I am still concerned for them despite the EBT shut down. Even they deserve to eat something. I'm thinking of leaving them some peanut butter jars and a few canned items. Everyone deserves to eat.

That's great! I volunteer each month with county Food Bank distributions, and we have had to cut back to one distribution a month due to government cutbacks. With the upcoming SNAP cuts, I'm afraid there will be a serious food shortage for those who need help.

@exexec I agree. they are telling people to go to food banks but it's really not enough for everyone.

@disturbedchicken I heard the CEO of the Houston Food Bank being interviewed today, and he said their disaster reserves would last a few weeks. After that is gone, the outlook is bleak.

@exexec It's really scary. I hope the government end up changing this. Everyone deserves to eat.
