What comes to mind when you think of American food?
There are ingredients and dishes that have been a part of American cuisine for thousands of years. Hamburgers and hot dogs have only been here for a couple hundred.

The first thing I thought of was organic mild taco seasoning. I feel like the customer base for that product is 99% white Americans and 1% people who misread the label.
