I hope I was right to walk out.

I got a job a couple of evenings a week at Macdonalds, but on my first shift all I got from the guy who was shadowing and supposed to be teaching me was how bad it was to work there and why anyone would want to work there is a mystery.
I got this the whole evening with little to no training so called and said I wasn't coming back
My mum is happy and said if I don't like it then fair enough and maybe to try for a for a more mixed ages job where I can get trained properly.
I didn't want to report the guy and get him in trouble.
I feel a bit bad now but I guess I will be easily replaced.

It sounds like you did the right thing. It would be very difficult to work in such a negative environment.

@SunshineGirl Yes it was difficult as I was getting shown different things every 10 minutes.

In your career You’ll always encounter such people, they have some ulterior motive soon you’ll become more cunning and learn how to climb the ladder. For now, right now it was a good decision.

Yes I think so thank you.
