Do you have a favourite thing to cook?

My grandmother’s chicken soup and stuffed cabbage. Brings back wonderful memories of being in her kitchen and helping out. 🙂
@OlderSometimesWiser That sounds amazing. What is the cabbage stuffed with?

I rarely make pot pies because they're extremely labor-intensive and not super healthy, BUT they're also quite satisfying to make. (: I made one for my dear friend recently bc she was going through a breakup and it was really nice.
Shepherd's pie. Childhood favourite
@DrScissorhands That is a classic.

I'm not a good cook, thankfully my wonderful partner is, she gets it from her Italian mother's side. When I try cooking I make a mess in the kitchen using virtually every pot and pan And utensil that I have. However one thing she does say I make that both she and I love is Thai green curry with chicken.
@Belleinboots I can relate my husband is a way better cook then me.

I like variety more than routine when it comes to cooking but I really do enjoy some sort of challenging cut of meat over charcoal or the like.

@KiwiBird Wow...you dont ?
I kinda asumed since they were in plague numbers, that it jad been legalised and was now available countrywide?

In truth it's not my favorite meat, but it IS highly nutritional. I use it moslty for stews and mixing with beef at other times. Its quite gamey.

@OogieBoogie Well they are a pest in New Zealand and they DOC are doing their best to eradicate them. I have never seen it for sale in South Australia. Kangaroo yes....one of my favourites along with goat. They are a pest on Kangaroo Island and are culled but I don’t think used or sold as food unfortunately. Tasmania is different and Wallaby harvest for meat consumption legal. I guess it is sold into the mainland just haven't seen it.
@KiwiBird its a shame. Especially if they are culling .
I mean, at the very least they could use it for pet meat.
Our cats love their roo meat
