What do you DISlike about restaurants in your home town? ..

.. or anywhere! .. Apart from issues around tipping, the big restaurant annoyance for me is the amount of hard interior surfacing that boosts the noise level. Sometimes I poke my head in the door and decide 'No thanks'; Or I'll leave without ordering, after sitting for a couple of uncomfortable minutes. My favorites are the few where MW and I can still enjoy a quiet meal together.

in my home town, how boring they are. 90 percent of the "wear do you want to eat" conversation boils down to "do you want burgers here or burgers there?". very few actual options.
