I got a lovely reduced Aberdeen Angus rib of beef roast. I'm going to have it with crispy potatoes, peas, parsnips, butternut squash, Yorkshire puddings and gravy. I'll roast the meat with garlic, sage and thyme.
I have an old friend (from whom I was estranged for many years) coming for lunch. An old-fashioned menu, with a few twists. King Prawn & Smoked Salmon Cocktail, bound with mayo, ketchup, sweet chilli and horseradish sauce - and garnished with my new invention, smoked salmon dust! Roast chicken, roasties, roast parsnips marinated in sesame oil and Himalayan pink salt; carrots, French beans and steamed broccoli. To finish: strawberry pavlova - the meringues left over from a recent buffet I catered! 🤗
