I haven't eaten fast food in many years. Expensive poison. The more it costs the fewer people will eat it and the healthier Americans will be. And maybe our healthcare won't be so expensive.

@hunkalove except for the people that can’t live without it

@Hanginginthere Addicts?
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@hunkalove yeah especially people that live in lower income areas
@hunkalove except that the homeless depend on fast food, high calorie loads. Many of the poor, in small family groups, find fast food more affordable than groceries. But now many cant afford either one to feed them everyday.
Now if those charge of our food supply would change the definition of food to something that must grow from the ground and isn't produced in a lab, then we will be healthier.
@nonsensiclesnail AMEN 🤘
The massive shame of it is, is although it's high calorie, its almost null in nutrition.
So they eat.....but their bodies are still starving .

@OogieBoogie Too true and if they learned how to prepare a cook food at home the would get better nutrition and save money.

@nonsensiclesnail I never understood that argument that fast food is cheaper then groceries that’s not really the case people just don’t know how to shop wisely
@Hanginginthere Think of it this way, not everyone has a working kitchen. Not everyone knows how to cook. Not everyone is sane, reasonable, intelligent or educated. We have such a variety of people in our world, there is no one answer for everyone.
@Hanginginthere its a new era.
I know from where i live, kids are bought up on takeaway, jist as their parents were, and their parents before that.....for generations.

Some dont even know how to use a knife and fork. (That's a story within itself).
Budgeting, paying bills, even knowing what are vegetables like zucchini and or squash - this is all lost knowledge to them .

This is a poor eccomomic class generational isssue. No car, so no supermarket trips.
And no want nor desire for food that takes too long. Its an instant world.

I get what you mean, i really do .
But even in cooking classes at our school - very few kids are interested. Even with tailoring the recipes to stuff they like - like chicken nuggets.

All they say is, " why bother when i can buy them?"
They habe no idea of life costs🤷

Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@nonsensiclesnail it doesn't take much intelligence or education to figure out fast food costs more in the long run?? XD you're joking right?? and most people at least have a microwave, do you know how many meals you can make with a microwave that are cheaper then fast food? the only exception here group wise is of course the homeless..
Hanginginthere · 31-35, M
@OogieBoogie yes but when fast food gets even more expensive then it is now maybe then they will learn to visit the grocery store more often
hunkalove · 61-69, M
