Do you consider oatmeal to be cereal?

I think oatmeal is oatmeal and cereal is cereal. And a burger isn’t a sandwich.

Hot cereal is any porridge made with a grain. Oatmeal is specifically made from oats. Other forms of hot cereal are (for example) Cream of Wheat (wheat), polenta (corn), grits (corn), and others.

@SW-User that doesn’t answer the question

@TryingSW45 It fits all three definitions

1. a grain used for food, such as wheat, oats, or corn.
2. a grass producing a cereal grain, grown as an agricultural crop.
3. a breakfast food made from roasted grain, typically eaten with milk.

@GlitterEater nope. And I can’t trust your reasoning because you said a burger was a sandwich

@TryingSW45 Saying a burger isn't a sandwich is even dumber than saying a hot dog isn't.

@GlitterEater that’s it. You’re done. I bet you think sandwich spread and mayo are the same thing.
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@TryingSW45 mayo $\in$ sandwich spread

@TryingSW45 "Mayo is an element is the set of sandwich spreads," yo. Unless "sandwich spread" is the name of product that I'm not aware of, mayo is a type of sandwich spread.
TryingSW45 · 51-55, M
@GlitterEater you don’t put sandwich spread in tuna
GlitterEater · 36-40, F
@TryingSW45 You want to say something along the lines of "mayo isn't exclusively a sandwich spread"
