exquisite liqueurs

who amongst ye hath partaken of the magical 43?
SteelHands · 61-69, M
No but I've used Chata or merries. It looms like a more appropriate top float for a tequila or gin mixer.

I usually use the anise selections straight in lightly crushed ice on single malts or vodka. Screwdriver, rusty nail alternates.

Straight shot mixers are never sufficiently strong and adding more scotch or vodka shots always wrecks the tangy flavor. I'll grab a bottle and experiment.
Pour me a drop old chap

Does it taste like apple juice
I've only had it poured over ice cream (vanilla if I recall correctly)
tindrummer · M
@BlueGreenGrey Hi. Interesting over ice cream. 🤔🥳🤓
@tindrummer well it was after having dinner with my date, we went to her place, she had it and introduced it to me, I think with ice cream was a way that she liked it ...

for me liqueur-wise I prefer more herbal / bitter stuff like the whole rainbow of different types of amaro, fernet, pastis, Benedictine, Campari, falernum, as well as things like allspice dram, creme de violette, damiana liqueur ... but I generally prefer spirits to liqueurs (good aged sipping rum, whisky, gin, agave-based spirits, pisco, Indonesian arrack, shochu, soju)

@BlueGreenGrey several there I've never heard of much less tried but I'll try to rectify that situation 🥳🤓
I'll try anything once.
