I called my girlfriend at work today and said "I forgot my sandwich", which I had--I had simply neglected to bring it with me to work. Though I had wrapped it in foil, she threw it away! I had planned on eating it when I got home!
Why?
My girlfriend is a terrible germophobe. She thinks that food spoils instantaneously if it's left out. She thinks I'll get food poisoning. Though I didn't yell or anything, it was hard to hide my disdain for such OCD craziness. And to me, that's what it is.
Am I the a-hole? Opinions might vary, but I'm curious.

@KaiserSolze In context, she does cook a lot, but I hadn't eaten a meal for 11 hours by that point and it was inconsiderate of her to do that without telling me so I wouldn't expect it when I got in.
@uncalled4 regardless I still think you did really well to not over react. Hungry and somebody threw a sandwich in the bin. I don't actually know what I'd do. Maybe get it out the bin and eat it just to gross her out even though I'd be grossed out to eat a sandwich out of the bin. You did well.
