Why?
If it's made right it's just pasta (protein) and butter (healthy fat), milk (protein and healthy fat) and cheese (protein and healthy fat)
Unless you're trying to lose weight AND not active, it doesn't make sense to cut it out
If you're active, moderate intake of healthy fat to fuel your body's ability to metabolize fat is healthy even to lose weight when exercising significantly

@SW-User if you start exercising a little more, you might actually lose weight quicker by making the macaroni and cheese from scratch
Make the noodles separately
Boil whole milk with butter in it until it gets frothy, then slowly stir in a little bit at a time of cheddar and then white cheddar
Cook it down until it is almost as thick as you want it and then add parmesan until it is as thick as you want and stir the noodles in
This will be much more healthy, have much more protein, and it will taste better also
I would recommend himalayan salt, pepper, and a little bit of garlic for seasoning

@SW-User it's funny really, people think that food with little fat and a bunch of chemicals is health food, but food that is actually healthy is food that avoids chemicals and has a good ratio of protein to fat, is not processed any more than necessary, and does not have ingredients that are harmful

SW-User
@th3r0n I will consider this appreciate the help

Roasted cauliflower with cheese is keto and delicious. You could sprinkle crushed pork rinds on it to simulate bread crumbs. It’s delicious!

SW-User
@Muthafukajones hmm 🤔 never thought of this
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
@SW-User Try it! You’ll love it!
First roast the cauliflower in the oven on broil to make it crunchy
Then add shredded cheese and pork rinds on top
Broil cheese and rinds
You can also sprinkle nutritional yeast on top as well.. it tastes like Parmesan and it’s crunchy!

That's not even cheese. It's closer to plastic than cheese.

SW-User
@Pitchblue fair enough
@SW-User It's like using coffee creamer until you find out it's oil and sugar.

SW-User
@Pitchblue for the record I do not drink coffee
exexec · 70-79, C
It has never been part of my diet, but my wife loves it.

SW-User
@exexec consider yourself lucky
akindheart · 61-69, F

akindheart · 61-69, F
@SW-User me too. i love it. i read that cheese gives you some chemical release like serotonin or dopamine.

SW-User

TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart · 22-25, F
We all need to 😣
@TurtleEclipseOfTheHeart Nooooo
@SW-User I only have it once in a blue moon. Why can't you?

SW-User
@MsSwan hmm idk I’m having a mental block about it
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
That sounds delicious. I haven't had it in ages.
TexChik · F
Are you eating a bunch of it?

SW-User
@TexChik yes I have gained weight so I am re analyzing my diet and trying to workout more
TexChik · F
@SW-User That is nothing but carbs...it will put weight on you.

SW-User
@TexChik yeah I’m better off cheese overall is bad for you anyway
Iwantout · 26-30, M
I understand your pain I had to cut out sodas and sweets because of my metabolism slowing down
Iwantout · 26-30, M
@SW-User you'll get used to it it will only suck for a while

SW-User
@Iwantout true
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User dark chocolate helps build stem cells to repair your body but it only takes a tiny bit of it
StygianKohlrabi · M
If I loved it I would just cut down on portion size
NinaTina · 26-30, F
@StygianKohlrabi no you wouldnt😅
StygianKohlrabi · M
@NinaTina no no you're right. I would eat the entire box including all that orange cheese powder packet.

SW-User
@StygianKohlrabi I considered that

SW-User
I can't live without pasta 😩

SW-User
@SW-User 😂 not sure if I’ll ever stop eating like spaghetti but Mac and cheese is a good start
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@SW-User I stopped eating potatoes and rice often like before, maybe a smaller portion and only once a week, and I have lost weight
Lhayezee · 26-30, F
No Apple or dairy products will be good for your sanity

SW-User
Or have it last Friday of every month 🤷♀️

SW-User
@SW-User hmm 🤔

SW-User
Mac n cheese is food for the soul !

SW-User
@SW-User yes but i need to make better food choices
Lol that's probably wise but you could do healthier versions of it!
deadgerbil · 26-30, M
What's wrong with it

SW-User
@deadgerbil too much cheese

SW-User
@MsSwan I know!! 😂😩
bijouxbroussard · F
I definitely cut back on pasta because of the carbs. But I can’t say I’ll never eat it again. Mac & cheese was my go-to comfort food as a kid, especially baked.

SW-User
@bijouxbroussard it’s too much comfort
Atlotto · M
I actually like mac and tomatoes better.
NinaTina · 26-30, F
I never did eat it. Unless its homemade with real cheese

SW-User
@NinaTina I wish I never ate it 😂
