Bad idea.

Survival tip: If you are lost / stuck in the woods and all you have to eat is rabbit, it’s better to eat nothing. It takes more energy / calories for your body to digest rabbit meat than it gives you back in return.

@SW-User i watched a video of a guy that lived on mice , he had a shit load of spices and made mouse everything , pie , steak , sandwiches , soups , you name it

@FurryFace Mouse has more fat than rabbit does. Rabbit meat is almost entirely pure protein and no fat. Repeated consumption of just rabbit meat could cause protein poisoning.

@SW-User I bet the rabbits that are raised for food have more meat on them than wild rabbits do. When I cooked rabbit from a grocery store, the raw meat looked similar to chicken. And when I ate it at a restaurant, it was a breaded cutlet.

@SW-User I can tell you from experience that I was full after those meals.

You may be right I’m not sure . All I know is when I was younger I use to hunt rabbits and ate a lot of them . personally I prefer to make hamburgers out of them. Like the flavor but a little tough to chew unless it’s ground up. Just my opinion
I would definitely eat rabbits for survival. @SW-User

Depends on the rabbits in the area. Not all rabbits are jack rabbits, which that is definitely true.

@DeWayfarer I think you just cleared things up. Thank you!

That could be the answer, we don’t have jack rabbits in Maine.@DeWayfarer
