Ever have Soup Explode in the Microwave?

I was heating up a bowl of clam chowder in the micro, covered with a paper plate, like I've done more times than I can count. Suddenly it goes *POOF* popping off the plate and spewing clam chowder all over the inside of the microwave. After cleaning up the mess I heated what was left in a kettle on the stove. WTF?

@PepsiColaP I wouldn’t go that far it was never proven, but I understand

@PepsiColaP as people drive around with electric cars and a bunch of batteries in the back ticking time bomb
@Funlov most of the food designed to be used by microwaves is cancerous ,but even other uses are unhealthy compared to heating things in a stove/oven . I just rather not have that in my house

@PepsiColaP How so? It's just using energy to do something same as with any other man made device that transforms energy from one form to another (perhaps multiple times in the case of a mwave - electrical to RF to kinetic to heat). Think about what an insidious device like a phone - it takes chemical energy (battery) and transforms it into electricity then into into light (perhaps also sound) and heat.
@PepsiColaP I test mine for leakage, and usually don't buy food made for a micro. I actually don't use it for much, which is why I have a basic micro. I used to have a convection microwave, which was expensive, however I loved convection cooking with it.
@zonavar68 I'm too bored to go into this I'll watch YouTube now bye
