It really depends on where and what you buy.

By far you can get fresh food in America thats good for you. And by working with your local farms can get some very fresh stuff.

I plan on buying a chest freezer soon to get whole cows (butchered professionally, i like my meat in its natural habitat the freezer. thank you)

Plus i garden, and have a set of ducks for eggs.

Its a matter of taking life into your own hands.

No one would ever say American food
redredred · M
Which is farther west, up or down?

Your question makes no sense since I can get wonderful or awful food on either continent. Tacos and corn dogs are American, Scotch Whisky and Fish and Chips are European.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@redredred yeah, but colloquially, people refer to the US as America. No one in Canada goes "America...fuck yeah!" except in irony.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@basilfawlty89 the tacos we have in the US aren't really authentic Mexican, anymore than the Chinese food we have is authentic Chinese.

At the end of the day, US cuisine is a cultural mish-mash.

@basilfawlty89 the question was asked about American vs European so it was reasonable for me to compare continent to continent.
No corporate food was meant to be healthy

I don't know. my son lives in Europe and some of the things they have served me were all bread or all fat.

If we go by life expectancy it's Europe by 3 years. Canada is five years longer than USA.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I think the US typically has more sugar in their processed foods than anywhere else.
Dino11 · M
Some American food is healthy.
IDK about the other choice.

Been in Germany. Lots of sugary stuff for breakfast. At least at my relatives place it was. Then there's the amount of beer they drank every day.

Then you can find the same thing happening in the USA. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If mass produced, I would venture to guess, the one with the least amount of preservatives and additives and synthetically made

I live in the US and I can tell you, our food is disgusting, it’s packed with grease and salt.
Lilymoon · F
European by a landslide.... they banned GMO's long ago. We still have them. 🙄
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
It depends. Much of what we eat in the U.S. originates from European cuisine.

the one on my plate 🤷‍♂️
