Do you prepare your own lunch for work? Or just stop off at McDonald’s or something ?

I eat a meal before work. I don't eat at work

I am retired but only bought lunch maybe once or twice a month at the most. Habits like that can save a small fortune over time.

I bring my lunch as often as I can because it's expensive to buy lunch everyday. Also, my boss often invites me to join him when he goes out for lunch, and I'm happy when I can say I brought my lunch or I ate already.

When I was working my last job, at Bed Bath and Beyond corporate offices, I used to stop for lunch every day at Chilies. They had one or two awesome lunch deals at the time. I could get a bowl of clam chowder and half a turkey club sandwich for 6.95. I thought that was awesome, and it was relaxing to go inside, play trivia, and have lunch.

I make my own lunch and its usually a sandwich

What I did depended on where the school I was working in was located...
One had a chippy across the road...so I went there.
Some had microwaves so I took in some soup or a ready meal..
And if necessary I made sandwiches..
And there was even the odd pub lunch!

Little bit of all of it. Not eating out saves me a lot more than 20/week but I need better food then I have with me

We have a good cafeteria that makes super awesome Indian food.

I make food and keep it simple rice chicken/beef and vegetables

I bring my own.

I got to the point where I was doing that because I was likely to bring a healthier meal than I’d find nearby.

I always do.

Sometimes I bring my own, and other times it's Grubhub, which is hella expensive but unlike NYC there's no place within walking distance for me.

I just grab a sub or sammie from the deli by work. It works out to be the same or a better deal in the end then making my own to bring.
