I remember being in america and having a hell of a time trying to find something edible as breakfast food
The cereal was too sweet, the poptarts were pure diabetes, even the freaking bread tasted like cake... We ended up having bagels with bacon and egg every single day because there simple didnt exist anything else 🤣 Desperate times
Actually, americans, what do you eat for breakfast if you dont want to get diabetes?
I don't care for sweet breakfast foods. I will eat leftovers before a pop tart(poptart...eww). But... Bacon, spinach, tomato and egg sandwich. Omelets of any stripe Frittatas Scrambles Potato dishes, like loaded hashbrowns. Corn beef hash. I could go on...
@MartinTheFirst so...i googled Scandinavian breakfast foods. Seems y'all eat more whole grains and breads for your first meal. Your pancakes and waffles look wonderful. Not as much protein. I need protein for my first meal.
There are poptarts that doesn't taste that sweet. There's also wheat bread in brown bread packaging/bag, that tastes awful to me because it's wheat bread. There's plain waffles that you can pop inside the toaster or you can microwave it, and you can eat it plain or with syrup. Eat it plain, and you'll have flavorless bread for breakfast. There's also plain oatmeal that tastes like shit to me. Now, if you're looking for actual food, There's obviously eggs, bacon and sausages. You can make grits too, if you wish. You can eat a plain bagel by itself or with cream. There's the rice krispy cereal that has no flavor to it. There's also the plain Cheerios that doesn't have any flavor as well. The only thing you'll be tasting, is the milk. Heck, you can even eat fruits in the morning.
I'm sorry if I seem rude, but it ticks me off whenever someone complains about something without trying other things out to fix your solution or problem. For example: In the stores, you can ask to see if they have plain waffles or plain pancakes if you think everything's too sweet. There are flavored pancakes and waffles that'll taste just fine without syrup. We also have countless of cereals to choose from. You can ask for the cereal that doesn't have any sweetness to it. There's also the bread as well. There's the white bread, that tastes gross, but it depends on how you use it. Then there's the wheat bread if you're trying to eat healthier. It's true that not all poptarts tastes like pure diabetes, you just need to try them all to find the ones that you like. I hate all but two poptarts. And it's the red velvet and confetti kind. I'll give you a pass on the poptarts, though.😂
@Xalvadora Wow you sound so freaking american right now 🤣

"If everything is so too sweet for you then just eat some pancakes and waffles!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Pancakes and waffles is basically cake, it's not breakfast food. But thank you for trying... It gives me some more insight into your perception of food, it doesn't make much sense to me
I usually have oatmeal and add a bit of brown sugar or some toast and some sausage. You actually aren't wrong though. The most common breakfast foods over here tend to be really high in sugar, like donuts and cinnamon rolls.
Theres a guy on youtube that rates breakfasts from around the world. Its quite interesting . I agree with him though , American breakfasts are excessive, and i feel, often too sweet. (He omits the maple syryp on his). Id fall into a food coma after this 😂[media=https://youtu.be/Lz2y2VvbQ9k]
