Too sugary for me, something with more fat and protein. Might be eating lots of wild rabbit in the near future... we have a gallon of filtered bacon fat, is that too much?😆

@UnderLockDown My ex’s mother used to buy 5 gallon-buckets of bacon fat from the place where her daughter worked. She could go through one in a week. My father-in-law had heartburn every time he ate a meal that she cooked. He said he’d go through a box of baking soda every week. And my mother-in-law had to have a quadruple by-pass.

@cherokeepatti Wow, that's a lot of fat!! The way I use it that stuff (5 gallons) would last for years. It's mostly for avoiding rabbit fever and making gravy when the urge strikes me. We have so many wild rabbits that some of the larger male cats hunt them on a regular basis, and baby rabbits are considered a feline delicacy. I figure if the stores close down I won't starve for a while. 😆

@UnderLockDown too bad people can’t hunt in town. There’s enough squirrels and Canada geese here in the suburbs that live on residential neighborhood lakes to feed a small army.

@cherokeepatti Pigeons are another good option, despite their reputation. I see flocks of them in the hills here, I would think they have a fairly healthy diet. They don't hang out in town, so no trash food...🍗 They are also quite large. We have quail, but they are too small to bother with, the doves are bigger.
